Leadership

CROFTS:

  • Allowing /encouraging other non-clergy to leading or taking part in services or Bible study e.g. prayer triplets
  • Prayer triplets with “Thy Kingdom Come”
  • Pilgrim groups

WICKWAR:

  • DS Club leadership
  • Services

Imagination

  • Muddy Church, meet at Church Sun pm for a walk, monthly; a theme – collect things and come back together to make something, simple music, all ages, family based, IMAGINATION
  • Family Service Informal, 1st Sunday of month; drama to act out sermon, links to Vicar’s Primary School visit. CHILDREN’S CHOIR, developed from Sing Pop and Signing. IMAGINATION -> CONNECTION.  Needs projector
  • Carol Crawl in local pubs IMAGINATION Collect for Crisis at Christmas

CROFTS:

  • Using rooms outside Church building (Church to people)
  • Café Church
  • Forest Church

WICKWAR & CHARFIELD:

  • Open Air Service, outside Church, Wickwar
  • Busking in the recreation ground, Charfield

Faith

  • Messy Church led to Bible study Group every fortnight

HAWKESBURY:

  • “Experience…” For school children
  • Mutual support of other congregations

NORTH NIBLEY

  • “Church Tent” @ Music festival

WOTTON:

  • Preparing Parish Vision based on L.I.F.E.
  • Four candidates for Pastoral Assistant training

CHARFIELD:

  • Mission on the Frontline. Being a Christian where you spend the most time.

WICKWAR:

  • Change name of outreach groups (planning outreach) to L.I.F.E. groups to incorporate principles which are L.I.F.E. priorities

CROFTS:

  • Deepening Faith in small groups, (L.I.F.E. groups) to help people share faith

Engagement

  • HOPSCOTCH Preschool, service for Mums and toddlers weekly, after school drop off time, teaching toddlers and Mums and support group
  • PET SERVICE at end of school day either inside or outside and tea afterwards, brings a different audience
  • ALL SOUL’S DAY memorial service invited families who has lost relatives/friends, advertise through undertakers
  • PRAYER GROUP, once a week, adults in primary, parents are invited, see what links are – Messy Church, GO Kids, All Age Service
  • Strengthening link between Choirs etc. for mutual support
  • Bereavement Group Ecumenical once a month
  • Bereavement Teas, Peer Support run by 2 lay in Bereavement team
  • Scratch Choir at Christmas led to singing group in village hall. Scratch Choir draws high numbers

CROFTS

  • Fun Run finishing in the Fete, Church Prayer tent, funds for school and Church

WICKWAR

  • Flower Festival, Church tower visits, parachute jump for teddy bears, interests for all ages
  • Local Scout group meet in Church
  • Scout Troup camping and working in the Churchyard, Cromhall and CROFT
  • Art and music in the Church

SLIMBRIDGE

  • Identify barriers that may exist to make people welcome

WOTTON

  • Displaying the “Knitted Bible”
  • The Ark (Coffee Shop), Credit Union and others

BERKELEY

  • Coffee and Communion Service

HAWKESBURY

  • Christian focussed school choir
  • Encouraging engagement with Remembrance Sunday
